Justus Seelye Rec. November 28th 1753 Recorded in Litchfield Records Lib. 4th Vol. 490 Isaac Baldwin Register To all people to whom these Presents shall Come, Greeting. Know Ye, That I Justus Seelye of Litchfield Town and County in the Colony of Connecticut in New England For the Consideration of Three hundred and Seventy five Pounds old tenor Received to my full Satisfaction, of David Welch of New Milford in the County and Colony aforesaid DO Give, Grant, Bargain, Sell, and Confirm unto the said David Welch his Heirs and Assigns forever the one half of the fifth lot in Number in the West Tear of the West hundred Acres Division in said Litchfield in Quantity and Quality which whole lot is Bounded North by John Baldwin Southward by the Heirs of Col. Joseph Whiting late Deceased East on Highway West on the Town of Kent or undivided Land, To have and to Hold the above Granted, and Bargained Premises, with the Appurtenances thereof, unto him the said David Welch his Heirs, and Assigns forever, to his and their own proper use, and Behoof. And also, I the said Justus Seelye Do for myself and my Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, Covenant with the said David Welch & his Heirs, and Assigns, That at, and until the Ensealing of these Presents, I am well seized of the Premises as a good Indefeasible Estate in Fee Simple; and have good Right to Bargain, and Sell the same in Manner and Form as is above Written; and that the same is Free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore, I the said Justus Seelye, do by these Presents Bind myself and my Heirs forever, to Warrant, and Defend the above Granted, and Bargained Premises to him the said David Welch his Heirs, and Assigns, against all Claims, and Demands whatsoever. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my Hand, and Seal the 27th Day of November in the 27th Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Britain, &c. King.
